Scion of Ikshvaku

Rama, the eldest son of King Dasharath and the scion of Ikshvaku dynasty is the 35th heir to the throne of Ayodhya.
This lineage is called Suryavamsha (Solar Dynasty) because their progenitor, Ikshvaku is the grandson of Vivaswan (Sun deity).
