Physical descriptions of Rama in Valmiki Ramayana :-
(महोरस्क) Mahoraska: Broad chested
(विपुलांस) Vipulamsa: Broad shouldered
(गूढजत्रु) Gudhajatru: Fleshy collar bones
(महाबाहु) Mahabahu: Strong arms
(वृत्त मध्यं) Vritta madhyam: Thin waist
(महाहनु) Mahahanu: Prominent cheek bones/jaw
(इन्दीवर श्यामं) Indivara shyamam: Dark blue complexion

In his youth he's described as having a shikha (ponytail) and strands that look like kakapaksha (crow feathers).
And in his exile he's described as jatadhari (having matted hair) and wearing valkal vastra (bark clothes) and not a dhoti or any other form of stitched clothes.
